Meet Croup: the kind of horse that makes you smile just being around him.

Croup was started under saddle as part of his race training and has only recently retired from racing. Ticking along nicely at walk, trot and canter, Croup is very sensible, willing and clearly enjoying the change of pace and life as a ridden horse.

Croup has no injuries and a trainable nature that gives him potential across a range of pursuits. Whether you’re after a trail companion or a partner in the arena, Croup’s a lovely blank canvas with the right attitude to go far.

Croup is known for being quiet and easygoing. He’s seen plenty throughout his career, from dogs and farm machinery to busy environments, and handles everything with a level head. He’s great to float, shoe and worm and enjoys the company of other horses.

Everyone who has worked with Croup has something good to say. His racing connections have always described him as ‘easy’ and he’s a bit of a stable favourite. Whilst he can have the occasional grumpy moment, he’s never nasty (just a bit expressive, like many clever horses are!)
