Meet Huey: a kind and honest bay gelding with a big build and an even bigger heart.
At 7 years old and 16.2 hands, this handsome trotter enjoyed 28 starts and 5 wins before retiring with a hind suspensory strain. He’s had a full 18 months in the paddock to let down and recover, and whilst he’s looking a bit fluffier these days, he’s sound and ready for new adventures.
Huey is a friendly, easy-going type who takes most things in his stride. He’s been around dogs, kids, farm animals, machinery and vehicles without fuss. He paddocks well with others and is good to catch, shoe and float (tick, tick, tick!)
We’ve been told Huey would occasionally paw when in the crossties and could be a little looky in harness, but nothing too worrisome. On the ground he’s respectful and relaxed with a trainable nature and a calm presence.
