Watch and Wait, affectionately known as Tommy, is a kind, uncomplicated young gelding with a lovely nature.
Tommy is described by his previous trainer as a genuine favourite. He is calm, sensible and very easy to handle, with a temperament that makes him a pleasure to be around. Cited to have a nature where he ‘would not hurt a fly’, Tommy takes everything in his stride, making him an appealing prospect for someone looking for a straightforward, blank canvas to develop.
On the ground, Tommy has good manners and is happy to catch, lead, tie up and float. He is relaxed in his day-to-day handling and is comfortable around typical farm environments. He can be paddocked safely with other horses and has no known vices.
Tommy was broken in as a three-year-old and showed promise early on. His racing career was ultimately short, however this has left him as a young horse with plenty to offer in a second career. He has since enjoyed time spelling and is ready to move on to his next home.
While he has not yet been ridden under saddle, with his calm nature and willing attitude Tommy would suit an experienced horseperson looking to take their time producing a kind, clever horse with an exciting future ahead.
